dandxrman > My job was all the bow work. Jib, genoa, spinnaker, lookout etc.
dandxrman > Why am I up here? Because we just ran the damn boat aground. I'm trying to lean the boat to the low side and get us off of the spit.
dandxrman > Not F%&$*# working!! Four letter words from every crew member followed by the realization that our racing day was over.
dandxrman > Crew member Dan rigging some fenders for the underside so the boat will rest easier on the rocks.
dandxrman > The end result. Worked pretty well actually.
dandxrman > We grounded at about 11:00am. By 1:30pm the tide had dropped to here.
dandxrman > WIPE OUT!!!
dandxrman > The coast guard was helpful in establishing a safety perimeter and checking on us once an hour via VHF.
